The Company

Lechgold is the name of our company. After the recipe of our drink "Schwarze Eva" was created, our company was founded in 2013. Lechgold is carried by the creator of the drink, Michael Zwerger and his family, friends and enthusiasts. A family business where friendly relations between us, to our customers and just enthusiasm is important to us. For us the premise is: We do not work, we live. This does not mean that it is always easy. It means that we enjoy our work.

The Idea

Even as a child, the founder, Michael Zwerger discovered his passion for taste. He experienced taste as a medium for satisfaction, enthusiasm and happiness. His mother often drew this out in him through the delicious food she cooked. From this experience he developed a passion for cooking, baking and brewing.
 
In 2012, he came up with the idea of creating his own soft drink. To him, the existing drinks were too profane and boring. Everyone was making the same thing. He wanted a high-quality and, above all, special-tasting drink.
 
A lot of time was spent on the first trials. It quickly became clear what was important.
 
The color had to be attractive. At first, the drink had no color, then red and green were considered, and finally a deep, rich dark brown came out.
 
The mouthfeel should be sparkling like champagne, the taste intense, full-bodied with a floral finish. After drinking it, it should trigger a feeling of satisfaction and at the same time gently stimulate. The result was Schwarze Eva.

The Recipe

A recipe is always a composition of the ingredients, the quantities of the ingredients and especially important is the method of preparation. In the case of Schwarze Eva, the preparation is an essential point that leads to this extraordinary taste. In every case, the recipe is kept under lock and key to ensure that the taste is always kept in its original form. There are exactly two people who master the preparation.
 

The Name „Schwarze Eva“

Two of Michael Zwerger's girlfriends from his youth and the third, his wife, are called Evelyne. Evelyne does not roll off the tongue as quickly as Eva. "Eva" is a tribute to his wife. A woman's name should be given to the drink because a woman, his mother initiated him into the secrets of taste. "Black", well that's easy. He always liked black-haired women, his wife also has deep black hair and the drink is simply black.

Our Products

We sell only products that we stand behind completely. We sell products according to our own recipe, which we produce ourselves and which we like ourselves. Our company is organic certified. Organic guarantees quality and quality is very important to us.

 

Our Location

Many of Lechgold's employees are from Füssen and grew up in Füssen. We love our incredibly beautiful and majestic landscape more than anything and it was immediately clear to us that our headquarters will always remain in Füssen.

The Origin of our Ingredients

We are very concerned about the preservation of our beautiful nature. In the Schwarze Eva are many ingredients that come from many regions of the world that are far beyond Allgäu. For us it is clear, we get our goods from areas as close as possible. In this way, we keep the transport effort as low as possible. Our ingredients are all organic. Thereby we support a sustainable environment preserving agriculture.
 

We Bottle by Ourselves

It was important to understand everything, the recipe, the filling, the marketing and the distribution. For this reason, we fill with our own certified bottling line, here in Füssen. However, due to the enthusiasm that the Schwarze Eva triggers in many people, we will soon take the support of other bottling companies.
