Origin
Originally, Damiana Liqueur was made by the Guaycura Indians in Baja California, Mexico. There, damiana grows in the wild. In the beginning, people used the liqueur for religious purposes. For this reason, it was temporarily banned during the Christianization. Today it is experiencing a comeback because of its special taste.
